Your child is about to take a big, new step in the growth process – the adventure into Pre-school.
Your child begins school full of curiosity and eagerness, alert and aware. The teacher will encourage these precious qualities as the tools for developing the self-directed, independent learner. Each child will discover and develop his or her own unique personality while experiencing the rewards of involvement in learning – the ability to retain and apply information to many areas. These successes build self-confidence and help form the basis for future success.
Pre-school encourages each child to form a self-perception as a “learner” – a person who can solve problems and who can communicate ideas and feelings to others. The children will develop their own intellectual processes in the opportunities presented for critical thinking, building and testing of concepts. The children learn a new mode of social living, the give and take of group activity as they learn to see value in themselves and others. Our curriculum is academically based, with an emphasis on Kindergarten preparation. The basis curriculum is as follows:
